GOALS:
The goals of the Art Department are related to the curricula in art and to general education. Through the bachelor of arts with a major in either art and an appropriate emphasis area or photography the College prepares students for further study in professional programs, entry into graduate programs and positions in art, photography and public school teaching. All graduates in the art department are counseled toward a broad education in the liberal arts. For the general student, the department provides skills, knowledge and appreciation of art as a part of life. The department also seeks to make its program a center of focus for the visual arts in the community.
